Interview with Marcy Kraus dean of Rochester University
To start many experts have examined this year in adolescents life since it is a time of great change and uncertainty. Many of the new experiences include individual time management, evolving subject interest, new academic expectations, and keeping an open mind. These are Mrs. Kraus' overview of college transition obstacles.
I wanted to reflect on this changing time in my life and how it compared to those of my peers. I thought that some factors that would have influenced the differences were family structure, specifically the number of siblings one has. I am an inly child and have always wanted siblings, however I also feel that being an only-child has some advantages in later life some of which are set in motion during the college transition.
